It isn’t often that a gang of veterans manages to put down the beers long enough to form a group, but it’s to our benefit that they have. Collectively the five of them have over 100 years of performing experience. Emerging from the corner of North & Elston, The North Ave. Stompers bring a hard driving rhythm & blues sound that hasn’t been heard in these parts in years. The classic lineup of stand up bass, guitar, drums, saxophone and vocals, rocks like Duane Eddy and swings like Louis Jordan. It’s definitely an all-star cast of guys who have paid dues and traveled around many blocks. With Eric "Shoutin" Sheridan (Uptown Rhythm Kings) on vocal duties, Brian Lueck (HiFi & the Roadburners, No Empathy) on drums, Billy Favata (Demented Are Go, Wreckin’ Ball, Torturing Elvis, Rockin’ Bill and the Wild Coyotes) beating the bass, Jason Larsen (The Peelers, The Stranger, Thee Invaders, Andre Williams, Bailey Dee) on guitar and Denis McQuinn on sax (HiFi & the Roadburners, Deal’s Gone Bad), The North Ave. Stompers will have you feeling that maybe there is hope for the world after a night rockin it out with these guys!!!
